Behavior Coach
Behavior Basics is seeking a dedicated Behavior Coach to empower parents in supporting their children's behavioral and developmental needs. This role involves providing professional instruction, demonstrating appropriate parenting skills, and delivering research-based materials to promote proactive interactions within families.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parent instruction utilizing "The Secrets of Modern Parenting" (SMP) curriculum.
- Conduct weekly 2-hour home visits with each assigned family.
- Serve up to 17 families per month, maintaining consistent face-to-face contact.
- Complete and submit case notes weekly; input notes into the statewide database.
- Attend weekly staff meetings and individual supervision sessions.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, childhood education, or a related field.
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
- Energetic and motivated to make a positive impact in the community.
- Willingness to accept supervision and technical assistance.
- Ability to represent oneself as a model for others in the community.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and drive for prolonged periods.
- Local travel required; must be able to work in noisy and crowded environments.
Service Area
- This position serves St. Lucie County, Martin County, Okeechobee, and Indian River County in Florida.
