Recovery Coach - Perinatal Mental Health
University Health KC is seeking a dedicated Recovery Coach to support perinatal patients in their mental health recovery journey. This role involves providing peer support, developing recovery plans, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer peer support to perinatal patients experiencing mental health challenges.
- Assist in creating and implementing individualized recovery plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Facilitate support groups and educational sessions for patients and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience in mental health services, preferably with perinatal populations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Empathy and understanding of challenges faced by individuals with mental health conditions.
