Peer Recovery Coach
Communities for Recovery is seeking a Peer Recovery Coach to provide mentorship and support to individuals seeking or sustaining recovery. This role involves assisting peers in developing wellness recovery plans, connecting them to community resources, and maintaining accurate documentation of coaching sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model, sharing personal strengths and promoting the possibility of recovery for everyone.
- Assist peers in creating comprehensive wellness recovery plans, identifying personal strengths, interests, and sources of well-being.
- Maintain a caseload of 15-20 active peers, ensuring engagement frequency aligns with individual recovery goals.
- Educate peers on accessing community resources that match their interests and aspirations.
- Provide emotional, instrumental, instructional, and affiliational support tailored to peer needs.
- Document coaching sessions, referrals, evaluations, and wellness recovery plans accurately.
- Ensure confidentiality of all peer information.
Qualifications
- Flexibility and openness to multiple, personally chosen pathways to recovery.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational policies.
- Experience in peer support or recovery coaching is preferred.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Some Saturdays may be required.
