Career Coach

Goodwill of Southern Nevada is seeking a dedicated Career Coach to provide individualized job placement assistance to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. This role involves managing intake processes, conducting orientations, evaluating participant eligibility, and ensuring documentation compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer general inquiries from customers utilizing Career Center Services.
• Determine and communicate eligibility for program services; conduct orientations for potential participants.
• Ensure participants meet all eligibility requirements; maintain proper documentation and signatures.
• Conduct individual and group intakes; assess information gathered during intake; complete required documentation promptly.
• Assist job seekers with completing paper/online job applications.
• Provide an overview of career enhancement tools available in Career Center Services.
• Communicate with local employers seeking to hire program participants.
• Resolve customer service-related matters while upholding the company's guiding principles.
• Track and meet grant-funded program productivity goals; develop success stories and program statistics.
• Maintain enrollment system and case documentation as required by specific grants.
• Provide supportive follow-up services to participants and job seekers as determined by eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with security access procedures in Career Connections; maintain participant information confidentiality.
• Perform miscellaneous office support tasks, including file review and event support for hiring events and community outreach activities.
• Maintain accurate case notes and records (hard copy and electronic); enter and process information in the program database.
• Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Career Center Manager.
• Participate in departmental, agency, and community meetings.
• Assist in generating reports from CRM and other data sources as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all Goodwill of Southern Nevada policies as outlined in the Team Member Goodwill Guidebook.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in career coaching, workforce development, or related areas.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards.
