Head Coach - Ultimate Frisbee
RSU 21 is seeking a dedicated Head Coach for the Ultimate Frisbee team. The ideal candidate will bring experience as a player or coach, possess knowledge of strategies and techniques for success, and have the ability to manage all aspects of the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Development: Instruct and supervise student-athletes, preparing them for competition and promoting respect for themselves, opponents, and officials.
- Program Management: Organize practices, assess player skills, assign team positions, and develop game strategies.
- Leadership: Serve as a role model, maintain standards of behavior, monitor academic performance, and ensure compliance with athletic regulations.
- Community Engagement: Promote the sport within the community and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a player or coach in Ultimate Frisbee.
- Knowledge: Expertise in sport strategies, methods, and techniques.
- Skills: Ability to manage all aspects of a sports program, including practice scheduling and player development.
- Credentials: Must have or be willing to earn Maine Coaches credentials; employment in the Kennebunk School Department preferred.
