Life Skills Coach

Birch Tree Communities Inc. is dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services, focusing on recovery-oriented, person-centered care for individuals with serious mental illness.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Life Skills Coach to provide support services and interventions tailored to each member's plan of care during evenings, overnights, and weekends. Working within a Treatment Team and under the supervision of a Mental Health Professional and Program Supervisor, you will deliver clinically appropriate activities to ensure all members receive prescribed services and interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Member Support: Deliver support services aligned with individual plans of care, focusing on recovery and personal growth.
• Activity Facilitation: Conduct clinically appropriate activities to promote life skills development.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Treatment Team to coordinate and implement care strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services provided and member progress.
• Housekeeping Duties: Perform tasks such as laundry, sweeping, mopping, cooking meals, kitchen cleanup, and bathroom cleaning to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: Supervisory experience preferred; knowledge of the mental health system and experience working with individuals with serious mental illness or special needs is advantageous.
• Certifications: Certified as a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP) or ability to obtain certification; must complete mandated continuing education annually.
• Skills:
  • Proficient computer skills, including basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and time management abilities.
• Requirements:
  • Valid and current driver's license.
