Life Skills Coach (Community Support 1:1)

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Life Skills Coach to provide one-on-one support to individuals in the community. In this role, you will assist clients in developing independent living skills, participating in community activities, and pursuing their personal interests to enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Individual Support: Provide personalized assistance to clients, helping them develop skills necessary for independent living and success in their careers.
• Community Engagement: Accompany clients to various activities such as movies, the zoo, or coffee outings, fostering social interaction and community involvement.
• Skill Development: Assist clients in learning and practicing skills that promote independence, including daily living tasks and vocational abilities.
• Interest-Based Activities: Support clients in exploring and engaging in activities aligned with their personal interests and goals.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a supportive role or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and patience in supporting individuals with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
