Supportive Life Coach

The Resource Center has been providing services to individuals with disabilities in Chautauqua County since 1958. We have grown into a comprehensive agency serving thousands of people with various disabilities, dedicated to supporting individuals in achieving maximum independence, community contribution, lifelong growth, and quality of life.

Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate Supportive Life Coach to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will support people in achieving greater independence, enhance their lives through creative and engaging activities, and build meaningful relationships that contribute to their personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Individual Support: Assist individuals in developing skills that promote independence and self-sufficiency.
• Creative Engagement: Design and implement activities that align with individuals' interests and goals, enhancing their quality of life.
• Relationship Building: Foster meaningful relationships to support individuals in overcoming challenges and celebrating successes.
• Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Skills:
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creativity in developing engaging activities.
• Commitment: Dedication to supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $15.70 per hour.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
• Benefits: Competitive wages, continuous training, and flexible scheduling for both full- and part-time positions.
