Life Skills Coach

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Life Skills Coach to support homeless students by implementing academic instruction and interventions in reading, language arts, and math. This role involves collaborating with project managers, schools, and shelter sites to assess and address the educational needs of these students.

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Support: Provide targeted instruction and interventions in core subjects to homeless students.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, school staff, and shelter sites to assess student needs and implement appropriate educational strategies.
• Program Implementation: Adhere to established guidelines and procedures to support the academic progress of homeless students.
• Student Advocacy: Advocate for the educational needs of homeless students, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience working with at-risk or homeless populations is preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment: Passion for supporting vulnerable student populations and promoting educational equity.

Compensation

• Salary: $45,900 - $64,260 per year, commensurate with experience.
• Employment Type: Full-time.
